(vasep.com.vn) In the first two months of 2021, the total value of Vietnam's shrimp exports reached US $376 million, down by 1.9% year-on-year. In which, CPTPP market sector is still leading, accounting for 34.26% of total shrimp export. Lack of containers and high sea freight to European and US markets and congestion at Chinese import ports due to strict corona virus control regulations have affected Vietnam's shrimp exports in the first 2 months of the year. However, since March, the situation has been more positive, so it is forecasted that shrimp exports in the second quarter of 2021 will flourish again.
