Ca Mau plans to develop rice planting model on shrimp farming area

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) By 2020, the production area of rice-shrimp will be expanded up to 10,000 ha in 3 districts in Ca Mau province, including U Minh, Tran Van Thoi and Thoi Binh, with the output of 50,000 MT.

Ca Mau Province plans to develop rice production on shrimp farming area to promote the potentials and advantages of high quality rice for exports.

Accordingly, the province attaches great importance to organizing seminars, training courses and applying of scientific and technological advances in rice and shrimp farming to farmers in the districts.

In the coming time, Ca Mau will focus on developing large fields in rice-shrimp production areas, boosting the mechanization in each stage of production, applying technology to raise efficiency, productivity and quality of the rice-shrimp model.
