Khanh Hoa boosts intensive shrimp farming

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Khanh Hoa province (Vietnam) boosts to invest in intensive shrimp farming, especially high-tech shrimp farming to increase productivity in the coming years.

It is expected that the province will build a high-tech whiteleg shrimp culture area in Ninh Hoa town, with a scale of up to 50 ha by 2020, with an average productivity of 30-50 MT/ha. By 2020, the area for brackish water shrimp farming in the locality will decrease to 1,755 ha; in which, the area of ​​shrimp farming in Cam Ranh city will be 65 ha, Ninh Hoa town with 1,290 ha, Van Ninh district with 250 ha and Cam Lam district with 150 ha.

In order to develop intensive shrimp culture, in the coming time, the province will focus on improving the infrastructure of farming areas, especially the areas of super-intensive shrimp farming to increase productivity.
