Marineculture in Song Cau

With a nearly 80-km coastline including

Aquaculture started in Song Cau district since 1990s, of which black tiger shrimp farming is a leading industry. By 1999, 750 ha of water surface had been utilized for farming black tiger shrimp. In the following years, however, difficulties related to environmental pollution and disease outbreaks caused dead losses to many shrimp farming areas.
