March 28, 2018, 10:13 AM
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) This is an important part of the working session between the Australian Department of Agriculture and Water Resources and the Bac Lieu People's Committee.

Representatives of the Australian Department of Agriculture highly appreciate the new developments of the fisheries sector in Vietnam in general and shrimp industry in particular. Particularly, in Bac Lieu province - the big place for shrimp farming in the country, there are many high-tech shrimp farms with the most modern processes and equipment in the world to culture organic shrimp, ensure the issues of the environment and social security.

This is an important basis for Vietnam to export whole shrimp to the Australian market. Due to the safety factor, up to now, this market has not allowed to import whole shrimp from other countries. It is expected that, after this visit to Vietnam, agricultural agencies of the two countries will have a working session to promote shrimp export - import activities in the coming time.
