Seafood export from Soc Trang province

(VASEPNews) In the first two months of 2012, Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (HOSE code - MPC) has shipped abroad 3,495 MT of shrimp, bringing total revenue of US$ 43.31 million, up 23.34 percent in volume and 30.47 percent in value compared to last year.

(vasep.com.vn) In 2011, Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (Minh Phu Seafood Corp) exported 28 thousand MT of frozen shrimp for total revenue of US$334.4 million, up 17.5 percent in volume and 35 percent in value over the previous year. The US was the largest import market accounting 37 percent of total export value. It was followed by Japan with 21 percent, the EU 12.8 percent, South Korea 12.6 percent and Canada 9 percent.

In first eleven months of 2011, Nam Can Seaproducts Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Seanamico) totaled US$25 million of export turnover, in which the EU market accounted for 60 percent. The company also exported its products to Japan and some Asian markets.
