(vasep.com.vn) On 14th November 2012, Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) organized an award-granting ceremony to honor winners of the first biennial Vietnam Golden Rice Award. This year, five seafood companies which are members of Vietnam Association of Seafood Processors and Exporters (VASEP) received the award.
The 2012 awards were granted to 56 groups and individuals - owners of 56 outstanding products selected from more than 300 ones in the agriculture sector based on economic, social and environmental criteria. Products chosen for consideration include inventions, effective solutions, programs on scientific research and technology; plants, agricultural materials, machines and equipments, handicrafts and artisanal products; new models of agriculture and rural development; prestige brand names.
The awarded products must not be involved in litigation on copyright, complains about quality and productivity, negative impacts on human health and environment.
This was MARD’s first award to recognize and honor individuals and groups with high quality products and brand names that made great contribution to the industrialization and modernization of Vietnamese agriculture sector and its global integration progress.
