Condao Seaproducts and Import Export Joint Stock Company (Coimex) is an enterprise specialized in processing surimi for export. Its products are sold and favored in EU, Russia, Japan and other Asian countries. Mr. Le Van Khang, Chairman and General Director of Coimex said, up to now, Coimex has processed 12,000 MT of finished products, its export turnover reached US$35 million, its sales VND845 billion and its revenue VND22 billion. Currently, Coimex has more new partners and signs many contracts for next year. The company’s export turnover is estimated at US$40 million in 2011.
In addition to Coimex, other enterprises’ exports are also good such as Hai Viet Corporation (Havico) with US$50 million, up 13.71%, Hai Long Co., Ltd US$12 million, up nearly 62% compared to the previous year.
As assessed by the Department of Industrial and Commercial in 2010, seafood export is relatively favorable. Total export turnover of the province reached more than US$223 million, up 1.45% compared to 2009 and by 84.72% of the year’s plan. Currently the province’s seafood products were presented in over 40 countries worldwide.
